 Sean's Picks:

   Eyes On The Prize (1986) six tapes. Never available on DVD and long out of print on VHS. Rocket is one of the few places
   you’ll find PBS’s epic documentary series about the Americancivil-rights-movement from the early fifties through the late
   sixties. Rocket also has Eyes On The Prize Part 2 (4 tapes) which covers the late sixties through the eighties.

   Sorcerer (1977) William Friedkin’s grim remake of Wages Of Fear. Roy Scheider leads a group of desperate outlaws exiled 
   to South America who must drive some rust buckets full of nitroglycerin through a unpassable jungle. Tough, ugly, cruel,
   great film making with an amazing ambient score by Tangerine Dream.

   Modern Romance (1981). Maybe the most annoying, but truthful leading man of all time, Albert Brooks’ second feature as 
   writer/ director it’s been called “his Annie Hall” and a “West Coast Manhattan”. It’s definitely funny as hell. maybe the
   best fiction film about a film-editor (Brooks’ and his assistant played by Bruno Kirby are editing a sci-fi flick starring
   George Kennedy and Meadowlark Lemon). Also checkout Brooks’ followup Lost In America (1985) and his debut feature 
   Real Life (1979).
